Chicago, 2020

My life, all of our lives, changed in 2020.

We were forced to sacrifice the thrilling things and distance the precious relationships we cherished.

We were witness to cold-hearted exceptionalism, hateful interactions and horrifying unforgettable moments and losses.

We were outraged, we protested and screamed, and suffered in the streets.

We persisted and pushed through, found strength in and protected one another during these twelve months.

And we learned what it is to cherish our precious relationships and thrilling things, because we may not have them some day.

This is a year of the city of Chicago through my eyes.

Thank you for valuing my work and helping me understand it more through your online responses and stories.
