Our Address Snapshot reports now show you the results of food service inspections at restaurants, grocery stores, and shared kitchens. The Chicago Department of Public Health conducts these inspections randomly, upon a new business opening, or because of complaints.

  1. Search for the address of a known restaurant and get its Address Snapshot report. Try Soup Barz at 133 N Wells St.
  2. Scroll down to “Food Inspections”
  3. Look for “Soup Barz” in the Food Inspections table and see that it passed its “license” (new business) inspection on February 16, 2017.

The same Food Inspections table also shows you the results of inspections at restaurants within a block of the address you searched for.
